Expat Counselling
Emotional Support for Internationals Living Abroad
Relocating to another country involves much more than adapting to a new environment. It often involves profound emotional and psychological changes.
Some of the challenges expats frequently face include:
• Loneliness or difficulty building meaningful connections
• Cultural adjustment and feeling “between worlds”
• Identity shifts after moving abroad
• Relationship stress or separation
• Professional pressure or burnout
• Navigating major life transitions far from home
Even when life abroad looks successful from the outside, many expats quietly struggle with these emotional experiences.
Working with a therapist in English in Munich who understands the expat journey can help you explore these challenges with greater understanding and compassion.
Understanding the Expat Experience
Having lived in more than seven countries myself, I understand how deeply international living can shape a person’s emotional world.
Building a life abroad often involves redefining identity, relationships, and personal direction.
At times this journey can feel inspiring and expansive. At other times it may bring confusion, grief, or uncertainty about where you truly belong.
Because I have navigated many of these transitions personally, I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work with expat clients.

״“Sometimes the most courageous step is simply reaching out and allowing yourself to be supported.”״

1:1 Expat Counselling
Living abroad can be an incredible experience, but it can also bring unexpected emotional challenges.
Many internationals living in Munich and Starnberg find themselves navigating loneliness, relationship changes, identity shifts, or major life transitions far from their familiar support systems.
With more than 10 years of counselling experience, international life experience across seven countries, and specialized training in grief and emotional support, I offer a compassionate space where you can explore what you are going through and reconnect with clarity and inner stability.

Areas I Support
• Expat adjustment and cultural transition
• Emotional stress and burnout
• Grief, loss and bereavement
• Divorce and relationship endings
• Loneliness and identity shifts
• Personal growth and self-understanding
• Life transitions and reinvention
Many expats in Munich experience these moments at some point in their international journey.
Counselling offers a safe and confidential space to explore these experiences and move forward with greater clarity and emotional resilience.
My approach combines professional counselling psychology training with a deeply compassionate and human perspective, helping clients develop emotional resilience, clarity and inner balance.
